Why can’t I reach my full potential and achieve the desired goals without the help of a coach?

Of course you can! The thing is, in most cases it may be much more difficult and take longer. This has a logical explanation. Being able to achieve the desired results involves making changes, some of them quite drastic. Making major changes goes hand in hand with change resistance due to the uncertainties and risks involved. Wherever the current situation in our lives may be, our present reality is well known, manageable and consequently, is in our comfort zone. As soon as we face the need to change, our resistance to the unknown triggers the internal defense mechanism and puts up a wall: This is not worth it, I can’t, I have already tried it, they won’t understand me, I will fail, etc. Eventually, the window of possibilities we consider / take up narrows down, and we get stuck in our reality and stop dreaming.

Your coach will help you build a bridge from your current situation to the desired outcome and follow it with ease and enjoyment. Your coach will help you take down the internal walls and barriers, understand what you really want in your life and believe you can achieve it. After that, to develop and execute the plan of action would be a walk in the park.

What is the structure of a coaching relationship?

Coaching begins with a Strategy session. During this session we define where you are now and where you want to be. We explore the gaps between your current and desired state. Based on what we find, we formulate your objective for the duration of our coaching relationship. The focus of each subsequent session is your own choice. Coaching is all about you, and you decide what you would like to zoom in on. We will check in on your initial objective regularly to measure your progress and to ensure that the goal is still valid.

What is the duration of a regular coaching process?

Coaching is a personalized journey. The duration of the coaching process depends on what you want to achieve, your current situation and your own pace. Coaching is always about improvement; and achieving sustained improvements takes time, from several sessions up to several months or even a year.

How long will it take before I start benefiting from the coaching sessions?

You will see the benefits right after the first session, provided you are truly invested, open minded and honest towards the coaching process, ready to actively participate and take ownership of your own life. With each further session, you will become more aware of who you are, your strengths, your values and beliefs and how they impact your life. You will become more aware about what your goals are and how to achieve them.

What will be my role in the process?

Your role is to be fully committed and invested in the coaching process. This includes being open-minded, answering questions honestly, be willing to look at things differently and embrace unique ways of finding a solution. Logistics will be discussed with you and arranged in the way which best fits your goals. Usually, sessions are held on a weekly basis with homework assignments in between.

Like most things in life, the more you put into the coaching sessions the more you will get out of them.

What if coaching does not work for me?

Do you coach any clients face to face?

The majority of coaching sessions is conducted over the telephone or via Skype. Skype or telephone coaching is convenient, efficient and cost effective:

For a session over the phone or via Skype you will not have to leave your home or office, spend extra time or money to commute to the coach’s office,

Many clients travel a lot or live in different parts of the world, and Skype or telephone coaching allows them to work and or live anywhere in the world and still connect with their coach,

Moreover, often it is more comfortable for the client to be in his or her private and comfortable space where they feel free to express themselves during a session. Some clients find it easier to focus on their inner selves without the distraction of observing the coach’s non-verbal reaction.

Are the coaching sessions Confidential?

The sessions are strictly confidential, with the exception of cases when you may present a danger to yourself or others.
